Special recognition for the Bell Wealth Services Players of the Week will always be at Badger Stadium at 3:30pm after practice on Thursdays.

SW Auto Collection also recognizes the Badger Spirit Award winner, so bring your camera and help celebrate these big winners over conference rival Nashville and wish them good luck as they travel to Joe T Robinson this Friday.

As President of the Arkadelphia Football Club, I would personally like to thank Coach Schucker and his staff for putting such time and thought into our award recipients each week.

I have personally sponsored up to three players of the week, each week, for 12 years. Coaches Elmore, Eldridge and Schucker have provided many names for many plaques. They also have been asked to provide a Badger Spirit Award recipient for the last five seasons, sponsored by our friends at Southwest Auto Collection, among others.

Coach Schucker and his staff don’t always have Edward Jones Players of the Week, but they always have Badger Spirit winners. This is a testament to the time, effort and pride they put into honoring these folks. I appreciate it and hope everyone knows what kind of men we have have leading our Badgers. We are lucky to have them and please remember how important they are, in victory or defeat.

These kids are getting it done! AFC is proud to be back in business.

I want to post a picture of one of the most ferocious and fearless animals, to make a point. Three weeks from their last game, these four individuals were selected as Players of the Week and Badger Spirit Award winners, because they are Badger Fearless.

Senior Quarterback, Buster Thomas. A class act and a heck of a football player and leader of this machine. He is the “Face and Attitude” of Badger Football 2020. Braeden is what we want our future Badgers to look like!

Junior Defensive End, Landon Kuhn. There’s not a player with more potential or one with more obstacles. The ultimate team player and the guy that has fought his way back from injury and illness to be the leader, everyone knew he would be.

LaTonnieo Hughes, Sophomore Special Teams Specialist. The future is bright for this back flipping, touchdown scoring human highlight reel. Another team player with so much talent, there’s a reason he’s on the field.

Kailyn Rook-Sims, Homecoming Royalty and Badger Rock Star. In this world of Covid madness, it’s a tremendous responsibility to make sure our players are safe. This beautiful member of our senior class and Homecoming Court, Kailyn chose not to sit and enjoy her moment with her Court, but instead chose to go back to the sidelines and make sure her Badgers were safe! She is a team player and student manager of Badger Football 2020.

These four student athletes will be awarded tomorrow afternoon at 3:45, at Badger Stadium. If you are able to attend, please do. These kids have sacrificed, worked, waited and got it done. Come and take pictures, shake their hand or just give them a bit of gratitude. They deserve it.
