Join our First Steps in Music Class, where you and your little one can embark on a musical journey together!

This class is designed to nurture early development through building accurate rhythmic and singing skills while fostering a deep sensitivity to the expressive qualities of music. Through engaging activities, rhythmic play, and interactive songs, parents and their children will explore the foundations of music in a fun and supportive environment, all while strengthening family bonds and providing social interactions.

Each session is $80, includes 8 classes, and meets on campus at OBU. Discounts available for multiple children. Don’t wait - register today!

What is First Steps in Music?

First Steps in Music helps children become tuneful, beatful, and artful before age seven—when their natural musical potential is at its peak.

Classes are filled with traditional songs, rhymes, and movement games that feel like play but are grounded in child development research. Each activity builds coordination, listening skills, and self-expression—while nurturing a love for music that lasts a lifetime.

Parents play an essential role! You’ll learn fun ways to make music together at home, reinforcing what your child learns in class. Repetition through joyful play builds strong musical foundations and lasting memories.
