This morning several veterans of our Legion Post were able to join with the more than two million volunteers and supporters during National Wreaths Across America Day. Volunteers gathered at more than 5,200 participating locations in all 50 states, at sea and abroad to Remember, Honor, and Teach.

At nearby Saratoga National Cemetery over a thousand volunteers, within an hour, placed balsam fir veteran's wreaths at all 17,000+ graves/markers. After placing a wreath the volunteer would salute or place their hand over their heart while reciting the veteran's name. When volunteers say the name of a deceased veteran aloud it ensures they live on in our hearts and memories, remembered for years to come.

With much gratitude to everyone who contributed to this wonderful event and ceremony.
