Argenta-Oreana Educational Foundation
AOEF
What is the AOEF? The Argenta – Oreana Educational Foundation was established in 2010 and is governed by a group of volunteers who believe in the value of education. In 2011, the AOEF accomplished their first goal of securing 501© 3 non-profit organization status. We are dedicated to enhancing the educational experience for students and promoting the Dis
trict’s academic programs. Although the Argenta-Oreana Educational Foundation operates independently from the Argenta-Oreana Community Unit School District 1, its board of directors work closely with the Board of Education and district administration in assessing needs and developing ways to support creative teaching and enrichment programs. The Foundation solicits suggestions from school personnel, alumni, and the community at large. Mission
Our mission is to partner with the community to fund educational opportunities and initiatives that will inspire excellence and enrich the total educational experience of all students in the Argenta-Oreana school district through the generation, attraction and distribution of financial and other resources. Goals
- Promote lasting educational improvements in the Argenta-Oreana School district
- Generate funds to advance the Educational Foundation’s mission.
- Promote a positive image of the Argenta-Oreana School District to the community and beyond, and encourage the entire community to support its schools.
- Foster academic achievement for all students by supporting and promoting the District’s academic programs and accomplishments.
- Increase community pride and support for the Argenta-Oreana School District and its high academic standards. How will funds be utilized?
1. In ways that are consistent with the mission of the AOEF.
2. For the specified wishes of those contributing funds as long as these wishes are approved by the AOEF Board of Directors and the A-O CUSD #1 Board of Education.
3. How can I help? The support of individuals and businesses in our educational community is essential for the Argenta-Oreana Educational Foundation. Individuals, businesses, corporations, and foundations may support the foundation in various ways including donations, memorials, and service. Together with fund raising events, these gifts are put to work in the Argenta-Oreana district in the form of materials and academic programs. How do I Make a Donation?
