Friday’s forecast: 100% chance of PURPLE 💜🦋 This Friday, October 16, we’re joining Purple Out for Rett Syndrome. Here are some key facts:

💜 Rett syndrome is a rare neurological and developmental disorder that almost exclusively affects girls.
💜 Many children seem to develop typically at first, then lose skills like speech, hand use, and walking, usually between 6 and 18 months.
💜 It’s genetic, most often linked to the MECP2 gene, and the changes usually happen randomly.
💜 There’s no cure yet, but researchers are studying potential treatments.

Wear any shade of purple, from head to toe to one lavender sock. Snap a pic and tag us!
