Last but by no means least, our third graduating senior to celebrate is Kechan Miller! Kechan joined ABC LM from Washington, D.C. Leaving home was not something he really wanted to do, but his mom believed in the opportunity ahead of him. So, sight unseen, Kechan moved into the ABC House and started school the very next day.
Directly after school on that first day, Kechan joined the football team — and within a week, he was suiting up for the varsity squad. Over the next four years, Kechan developed his skills both in the classroom and on the field.
When asked how ABC helped shape the person he is today, Kechan pointed to the people who surrounded him with support and showed him what was possible. He says he hopes people remember him as funny, caring, and competitive, and he is most proud of having the courage to come to ABC in the first place, meet new people, and step outside of his comfort zone.
This fall, Kechan will attend Temple University on a full scholarship and join the football program. We are incredibly proud of all he has accomplished and cannot wait to see what the future holds for him.
