The department created stickers now available to the public that alert officers and first responders that a person with autism may be inside a vehicle or home.

We are appreciative of Fundamentals in providing these kits to our officers to help assist them when they are trying to help someone with Autism! Thank you!

Today, we received five sensory kits donated by Fundamentals Therapy. These kits come with several sensory items that will help us when communicating with citizens that have sensory issues. The kits contain a weighted blanket, ear muffs, several fidget toys, sunglasses, wet wipes, note pad, crossword puzzle, and a cue card.

The sensory kits were designed by the Autism Foundation of Oklahoma for first responders to deal with sensory overloads. Each patrol shift and investigations will be assigned one kit. We would like to thank Cpl. Davis and Fundamentals Therapy for working together to make this donation happen!

I want to THANK The Ardmore Police Department Including CPL Cody Garrett, SGT Christopher Mata, Captain Ingle and Officer Naylor for a job WELL DONE!! The caught the person who stole my stuff and I got it ALL back including The Rudy's sauce!
Mr. Ingle heard me talking about it on KKAJ and knew it was my stuff, so THANK YOU Gentleman for not only listening to KKAJ but for serving this community!!

We would like to thank SSMC Arbuckle for their gift they presented to our officers! They presented our officers with a wooden thin blue line flag with our APD patch on it in appreciation for our officers assisting them on their poker run earlier in the year.

On Friday, November 19th a special mailbox will appear at Central Park & Broadlawn Park! Children can mail their letters straight to the North Pole to Santa’s Workshop! Send a self-addressed, stamped envelope with your letter to Santa and he will personally answer each letter. The last day for Santa’s Mailbox is December 17th!
