It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Chalonda Duncan on April 18th—a woman whose presence brought warmth, light, and kindness wherever she went.

For more than 30 years, Chalonda dedicated herself to Sunshine Industries, where her commitment and genuine care for others left a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to know her. She was a bright spirit in the workplace, someone whose smile could truly light up a room and whose kindness reached every person she met.

Chalonda had a love for music that reflected her vibrant personality. She was a huge fan of Prince and Ice Cube, but above all, she was an even bigger fan of her brother—a bond that spoke volumes about her loyalty and the deep love she carried for her family. She was also incredibly close with her mother, who was her rock, a constant source of strength, love, and support throughout her life.

Her laughter, her compassion, and her radiant spirit will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

As Prince once sang, “I only wanted to see you laughing in the purple rain,” a line that beautifully reflects the joy Chalonda brought into the lives of others and the love she shared so freely.

Rest peacefully, Chalonda. You will always be remembered.
