HELP US FRESHEN UP TO MOVE FORWARD! 🧹

Ardmore Soup Kitchen family, we need your hands and your hearts!

As many of you know, we previously purchased a building with the dream of making it our permanent home. However, bringing it up to city code requires more funds than is feasible. We’ve made the strategic decision to put the building on the market to sell.

Currently, we are blessed to be housed in the Ardmore Salvation Army kitchen, where we are building a strong community support resource in tandem with them. But to take our next big step, we need to get the old building looking its best for potential buyers.

Can you spare just two hours to help us make it shine?

🗓️ When We Need You:

Wednesday, June 3rd | 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM (2-hour shifts)
Saturday, June 6th | 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM (2-hour shifts)

🧼 The Game Plan (Chores Include):

Dusting and washing walls
Wiping down trim and baseboards
Wiping down interior surfaces
Sweeping and mopping floors
Cleaning bathrooms

👟 What to Wear:

Dress comfortably and come ready to work! Please wear closed-toed shoes and feel free to bring your own cleaning gloves if you'd like.

Summer Youth Food Programs are available in Ardmore! ☀️🍉

Summer can create added challenges for families when regular school meals are unavailable. Local programs and organizations are helping ensure children and youth have access to meals and support throughout the summer months.

❤️ Every single weeknight, something special happens at 123 A St. SW in Ardmore.

Volunteers show up. The kitchen gets busy. And one by one, our neighbors walk through the door — not just for a meal, but for a moment where someone looks them in the eye and says: "You matter, and we've got you."

Here's the reality in our own backyard:

🔸 Oklahoma ranks 6th in the nation for food insecurity.
🔸 1 in 4 Oklahoma children are food insecure.
🔸 Over 900,000 Oklahomans relied on SNAP at some point in 2024 just to meet basic nutritional needs.

These aren't just numbers — they're our neighbors. Our kids. Our community.

The Ardmore Soup Kitchen serves Monday through Friday, 6:00 – 6:30 PM, rain or shine. No questions asked. No strings attached. Just a hot, wholesome meal for anyone who is hungry. 🍽️

It works because Ardmore takes care of Ardmore. 💛

❤️ Last week's volunteers had us FULL — in more ways than one!

It takes a village to make sure no one goes hungry in Ardmore, and our village showed up BIG!

Ardmore Middle School National Junior Honor Society — these incredible young leaders proved that the next generation of community champions is already here! We are so proud of you!

Charles Evans Elementary Staff — because educators don't just pour into their students, they pour into their whole community too! Thank you for showing up after already giving so much!

Individual Volunteers — Charlie, Christopher, Hailey, Linda & Jacob, individuals who show up and get it done, week after week.

💛 A HUGE thank you to Dot Foods!

Look at this incredible donation that came through our doors today! DOT Foods generously donated yogurt to both the Ardmore Soup Kitchen and The Salvation Army Ardmore Oklahoma — going directly toward feeding our neighbors in need! 🙏🏽
