WNC Troop 26

WNC Troop 26 Boy Scout Troop 26, Arden NC Troop 26 has been very active in the Avery Creek community for over 50 years. Come and visit us anytime.

We have a strong troop that has consistently achieved the Quality Unit and Centennial Unit Awards for many years. In 2011, 12, 13 & 14 we recieved the Gold Level Award for Journey to Excellence! Thanks to the generous families in the Avery Creek Community and through the efforts of our Scout Charter Organization, Avery Creek United Methodist Church, we are proud to call Camp Stephens "Long-Pine" c

amp, on the beautiful banks of the French Broad River, our home. We meet on Mondays at 7:00 PM, unless the Buncombe County Schools are closed.

Don’t know what to do with an old, maybe tattered, American flag? You can now drop off a flag that needs to be retired at any Asheville Fire station. We will collect the flags and, once we have enough, hold a ceremony with a local Boy Scout Troop to properly dispose of them. This will be an ongoing event, and flags will be accepted at any station year-round.
