A woman in Pakistan recently shared:
“I thank the Lord Jesus Christ for the many blessings my family has received. Since we started
listening to God's Word and spending time in prayer, our lives have changed greatly. We have
experienced God's peace, guidance, and provision. I am thankful to the Phokos Team for
regularly visiting us, encouraging us, and teaching us the Word of God.”

This is a powerful testimony to the effectiveness of Phokos’ mission model. Building up local missionaries who can remain in their home communities, continually serving those they come in contact with regularly.

Prayer is the engine behind everything we do. 🙏 Join us in lifting up three specific needs from the field this month:

Pray for the believers in Pakistan currently preparing for baptism. Ask God to keep them faithful, rooted in His Word, and bold in their walk with Christ.

Pray for the hundreds of new believers from May's gospel meetings in India, that they would be connected to community, discipled well, and grow strong in their faith.

Pray for open doors as the Kenya team continues outreach in June, for bold conversations, receptive hearts, and for those who have heard the gospel but have not yet accepted Christ as their Savior.

"There is great joy in heaven over one sinner who repents." (Luke 15:7)

The team in Kenya met a man named Joseph on a day of evangelism in the community. Through genuine conversation, the team shared the Gospel with Joseph.

That day, Joseph made the decision to follow Jesus Christ. Right there on the street.

Then, our team connected him with a local pastor for ongoing discipleship. Because while Joseph’s eternity is secure, the daily journey of living out his faith is just beginning.

This is why we do what we do. One conversation. One life changed forever. One man now ready to share the good news with his community.

Our India team’s work sharing the Gospel was met by so many receptive hearts in May.

At the start of the month, over 400 people gathered for a gospel meeting where the word was preached, healing and deliverance broke out and many people came forward.

One week later, the team went to visit 20 families who had heard the Gospel the month before, not just to check in, but to encourage them to grow deeper in faith and share what Jesus had done in their lives.

Then on May 22nd, another gospel meeting drew 200 people in a new area. Food was provided for every single person in attendance and 35 made the decision to follow Christ. At many of the Gospel meetings, people are returning with family and friends.

May in Pakistan was a month of open doors and changed lives. 🙏

The month started with a revival prayer meeting, 80 people gathered to seek God together, followed by evangelism that led several to make decisions for Christ. Later in the month, food packages were delivered to 30 struggling families, with prayer and the Gospel shared with each family.

Mid-month brought a special prayer gathering of 54 believers, followed by home visits to 16 families: praying for the sick, counseling the struggling, and planting seeds in hearts not yet ready to believe.

The month closed with a worship and evangelism gathering where 23 of the 32 attendees were non-Christians. Several expressed a desire to keep coming back to learn more about Jesus.

In May, our team in Kenya went where the need was and they didn't go empty-handed. 🌍

From singing children at Baby Blessing Children's Home to witnessing in the community, the month was filled with moments that remind us why this work matters.

They visited Elroi Children's Home, where kids recited memory verses, shared dreams of becoming doctors and teachers, and led their visitors in worship. They hit the streets in Utawala, sharing the gospel with many, Eric, Evans, and Malik, to name a few.

Our team in Kenya serves faithfully and diligently, sharing the Gospel with so many in their community.

Quick question: Who was the person God used to help you take your next step toward Jesus? 💬

So often, the Gospel travels through relationship. Someone showing up, listening, praying, and pointing us to hope.
That’s why we love mobilizing local missionaries: they bring the Good News through trust, proximity, and faithful presence. Through the relationships already built.

Not every moment of evangelism looks dramatic. Sometimes it’s a short conversation. A tract received. A question asked. A door opened just a crack.
Our missionaries spend month after month sowing seeds. Through children’s home visits, prayer in families’ living rooms, and street conversations with people who are searching for hope. And even when we don’t see instant results, we believe this: God is the One who makes the seeds grow.

In I Corinthians 3:6-7 Paul writes:
“I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God has been making it grow. 7 So neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow.”

Would you pray today for the seeds planted recently? That God would cause them to take root, grow strong, and bear lasting fruit?
