Master Mason of the Month:
December 2025
Brother Louis Leopold:
This year, at Archer Masonic Lodge No 197, F&AM F. & A.M. Florida of District 10, we are honoring Master Masons who have, throughout their Masonic Careers, dedicated their time and demonstrated their commitment to our Craft. Each month we will celebrate a Master Mason with a quick interview. This month we are celebrating our Worshipful Louis R. Leopold, our Junior Past Worshipful Master. W:. Louis served many chairs throughout the years, but as Worshipful Master, he served in 1986, 1994, 1995, 1996 and 2025.
We would like to share some of our time spent with Worshipful Louis R. Leopold with you:
When asked about when Brother Louis was raised to the Sublime Degree of Master Mason, he told us that this event took place in 1982, which would have him being a M.M. a total of 43 years as of 2025.
For work, Worshipful Louis is currently retired as of 2005 from working locally here at U.F. Before that, Brother Louis was a member of our Armed Forces for 22 years, this includes Vietnam and Desert Storm, in which he spent important time in readying our 36ft missiles with Nuclear Warheads as a “Missile Bunny” in the event they were needed and he spent time on Ready Call in case a launch was ordered. He also spent time stationed in a Field Hospital.
When asked about how Masonry changed his life, he said “I believe it taught me another way to better care for other people”. That is something that we can all hope to understand and implement on a daily basis. I also asked of him, if there was one thing that he could tell the world about Masonry, what would that be? To which he answered: "It has made me a better person for being one, than not”.
*Brothers, Sisters, Family/friends/guests, this M.M. Spotlight and these words have come from Worshipful Brother Louis Leopold of Archer Lodge #197 F. & A.M. District 10 Florida as our Master Mason of the Month for December 2025 as we close out this wonderful year here in Archer, Florida, and I can’t think of a better Master Mason to end this segment of time honoring. Who will be the next M.M. in the spotlight? Please, visit us next month to find out! - Nicholas Woloszczuk
