August 10th

All members welcome. We will be having our meeting to plan and discuss Archbald s 150 year celebration. All members are welcome to help with ideas for our celebration. We will also be putting out a sign up in a few weeks for volunteers to work the day of our celebration. , volunteers to donate baskets , and donate food items also . Come help plan if you can but definitely come help celebrate our communities 150 th ! Dates will be posted next week. Thank you for your support .

The more followers and shares we get … the more we can help our community and help our vets ! That is my goal ! Together we can spread awareness to the community , we can help the community and help our struggling homeless vets !! Our legion has donated money to numerous veterans organizations , our local Boy Scouts , Carbondale YMCA , local families who were effected by home fires , our local football program (( salute to service game )) and so much more !! With more attention on our legion we can do so much more !!! Myself (( TIM SHIFFER )) Jason Heid , Jamie Heid and Brandon Evans have served our nation , served our community with 20 plus years each in the DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS …. Now we want to make our legion the best in the area , want to give back to our fellow vets , and support our community the best we can !
Come out and support or SONS OF THE AMERICAN LEGION on August 8th noon till 4 . Your support is appreciated ! And as always please follow and share our posts !! Only together we can make our community stronger !!

Our legion is always looking for new members ! Most do not know who is eligible to join. You do have to be a member or guest of a member to participate inside any legion , but do not need to be a member to stop at any of our out door fundraisers ((. Basket raffles / gun raffles / chicken BBQ ))

ACTIVE MEMBER ;
Any active military members , veterans or retired service members who served can join and be an active member .
AUXILIARY MEMBER ; open to wife’s/ husband of a vet , mothers , grandmothers ,sisters , and granddaughters of veterans .
SONS OF THE AMERICAN LEGION;
Open to male descendants , adopted sons , step sons , of veterans who served during eligible war time periods .
Low yearly dues !
OR join to be a social member and support your local American Legion !!!
