As we prepare for the 8th Annual Juneteenth Cultural Festival, we honor the journey that brought us here and the generations whose resilience made this celebration possible.

As we celebrate Pride Month, we want to pay tribute to Professor Eric Rofes, a beloved educator, writer, and LGBTQ+ advocate whose legacy continues to inspire our community.

Through his teaching at Cal Poly Humboldt, his writing, and his activism, Eric championed equality, health advocacy, and the empowerment of LGBTQ+ people. He challenged others to imagine stronger, healthier, and more inclusive communities and worked tirelessly to help build them.

This month, we honor his contributions and the path he helped create for future generations. 🌈✨
