Have you ever wondered why Hispanic and Latino Heritage Month begins in the middle of September? šŸŒŽ

September 15 marks the independence anniversaries of Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, and Nicaragua. Mexico celebrates on September 16, Chile on September 18, and Belize on September 21.

These dates remind us of the resilience and determination woven throughout Hispanic and Latino history. This month gives us a chance to celebrate those stories and the people whose creativity, leadership, and contributions continue to shape American culture today.

We believe celebrating this heritage also means making space for people to feel seen, valued, and proud of who they are. Representation matters, and learning about one another helps us build a more welcoming community for everyone.

Swipe to meet five Latinx figures who have made and continue to make an impact. šŸ’›
