Every Monday we have a hour and a half long meeting, traditionally from 7:00 to 8:30, but we have been doing 5:30-7:00 ever since COVID began, to get more sunlight and hold more outside activities. Afterward we normally work on a Merit Badge that us scouts have voted on. The good thing about our Troop is that since we are fairly small, you have more say in what you want to do or what Merit Badges
we wish to work on. One thing that makes us different from other Troops is that we have our own building at Redwood Park. Most Troops do not get their own building. Our Scout Hut consists of one main big room, six small rooms, and a bathroom. It is an old building with lots of history. We go on an outing about once a month. We do some community service, however most of our outings are fun. We have gone camping many times. We have also gone snow skiing and water skiing, (not on the same trip). We have gone on trips to the USS Hornet, the Troop 15 goof off hike, Camporee , Spookeree, Hornaday, and lots of local camping and backpacking trips. During COVID restrictions, we are following County guidelines and meeting outdoors as weather permits, and via Zoom in the harsher weather. We're still able to go camping and hiking, we're just being more careful about it.
