It is with much sadness we say goodbye to Paula Flannery.
Paula raised sheep and wool for many years. She was known in the fiber arts community as "Miss Wooly". Her fleeces were fine and lovely and she won many awards for them. She was an accomplished handspinner who taught classes, and she also did crochet and other fiber arts.
For many years Paula judged the spinning competition and handspun entries at the Humboldt County Fair. She also was a spinning contest judge at Natural Fiber Fair. She shared her knowledge in several presentations she gave to the Humboldt Handweavers and Spinners Guild.
In recent years she was a fan of the local music scene and loved to dance at the Farmers Market, various festivals, and elsewhere. She was a wonderful person with many skills and talents, and she is very much missed.

A Gilmore loom, in the Fort Ross area of California, is available...make an offer! 46' wide, it appears to be four shafts. Artist Adela Akres https://browngrotta.com/artists/adela-akers used this loom to create her art pieces, some which of which are at the DeYoung and the Smithsonian.
