Dan Hoye: Takes All Kinds this Friday and Saturday at the Arcata Playhouse! Hoyle recreates real conversations with a wide array of Americans he met on the front lines of today’s political tensions—including a formerly conservative preacher’s son who finds purpose in Florida school-board activism after his daughter comes out, Atlanta voting rights canvassers who reignite civic hope with family stories from the Jim Crow era, a former gang member-turned-social worker who undertakes deradicalizing violent extremists, and many more. Don't miss this chance to see Dan Hoyle perform in Arcata!

❤️🌹 Hello Arcata California!
FEB 24 I’m coming to the Arcata Playhouse and I’m ready for some sunshine!
But rain or shine, I’ll be singing, playing piano and… trombone. Together we’ll celebrate Sephardic heritage with Ladino traditional songs about passion, love, cooking, family and even fairytales. I’ll also be playing original Ladino songs of my own that talk of migration, woman empowerment and gender. See you in Arcata!

Sorry to say that Stick Men has now cancelled their tour.

Stick Men has officially pulled the plug on the west coast tour. They are shooting for a November/December reschedule. Sorry to all those who have tickets. We will be doing online refunds to folks. Thanks for your patience with this situation. See official statement below.

This is the official statement from Stick Men.
*****

It is with deep regret that we announce the remaining dates on Stick Men’s Brutal Tour will be postponed until the end of the year.

Due to unforeseen health issues affecting both Tony Levin and Reeves Gabrels, the band is unable to continue the tour at this time. As much as we hoped to press on, the situation has made it impossible to move forward responsibly and safely. This tour has certainly lived up to its name, and while the decision to cancel was not made lightly, the well-being of our bandmates and crew must come first.

We thank our fans for their unwavering support and understanding during this incredibly challenging time. Ticket holders should contact the original point of purchase for rescheduled dates and other information.

As a reminder our new album BRUTAL will be officially released on August 8 and is available now for preorder on Bandcamp.

BREAKING NEWS FROM Playhouse Arts!
Stick Men trio comes to the Arcata Playhouse on Wednesday, July 23rd as part of their 2025 west coast tour with a special unexpected guest.
"Official Stick Men Statement"
“Due to an unexpected medical issue, Tony Levin will be unable to perform at the upcoming Stick Men shows. While we remain hopeful that Tony may rejoin the tour, we’re grateful to have a remarkable guest artists stepping in during his absence.
Reeves Gabrels—acclaimed guitarist known for his fearless work with David Bowie, Tin Machine, and The Cure —will be joining Markus Reuter and Pat Mastelotto onstage for the tour until further notice.
Reeves is a risk-taker whose approach to the guitar mirrors our own spirit of innovation and improvisation. He brings a bold, expressive voice to the mix—perfectly in tune with the Stick Men vision. These will be unique and unforgettable performances, and we’re thrilled to share this rare collaboration with you.

We know nothing can truly replace Tony’s presence, but we’re honored to have special guests Reeves Gabrels step in and help us deliver the kind of bold, genre-defying music you’ve come to expect. Thank you for your continued support—and we’ll see you on the road.
—Stick Stick Men (Official)
