Arcata-Camoapa Sister City Project Since 1986 the Sister City Project fosters educational, cultural, medical and technical exchanges between Arcata and Camoapa, Nicaragua.

Arcata-Camoapa Sister City Project is a small non-profit NGO that was founded in 1986 to promote cultural, educational, and humanitarian exchanges between the towns of Arcata, California and Camoapa, Nicaragua. Statement of Purpose:

The Sister City Project seeks to promote friendship and understanding between the people of Arcata, California and Camoapa, Nicaragua. Educational, cultural, medical,

and technical exchanges are encouraged in order to demonstrate the ability of ordinary people to overcome the political barriers too often placed in the way of international peace.
