The Humboldt Permaculture Guild (HPG) is a community of food producers, business owners, builders, educators, permaculture designers, Earth and seed stewards, and engaged community members. We share a commitment to resilient homes and communities, regenerative living, community education, stewardship of natural systems, local seed development, natural and appropriate building practices, efficient

and productive use of water and energy, and thoughtful, holistic approaches to living and problem-solving. Permaculture provides an accessible and empowering framework for the individual and cultural changes needed to address environmental and social challenges. Our work focuses on resilience, adaptation, meeting basic needs (food, water, shelter, and community), understanding natural patterns and relationships, and creating models that inspire and support others. The Humboldt Permaculture Guild provides opportunities for connection, collaboration, and action. We host social gatherings and educational events, build a flexible, productive guild structure, partner with complementary organizations, support the design and implementation of permaculture initiatives, and educate, inspire, and mobilize our community toward a more regenerative future.
