✨ Humility ✨ What a fun day at LifeWise! Students learned about the Tower of Babel and how people began thinking of themselves more than God. They attempted to build a grand tower to always be remembered for, however God had a unique way of making sure they instead followed His command to spread out among nations after the Flood. In an instant, God made everyone speak different languages!

Students experienced this on a small scale today as they were given an M&M and could only speak that color name! It was hilarious and put into perspective how confusing it must have been for everyone!

Ask your student if they can recite the Bible verse we’ve been working on memorizing 🙂

Another fantastic week at LifeWise-Arcanum! Our character trait for Monday was “responsibility.” As we continued our reading through the Old Testament, we learned about Adam and Eve’s sons, Cain and Abel. Due to Cain’s sin, he had to live separated from his family. Even so, God protected Cain despite his inability to take responsibility for his sin! Responsibility is taking ownership of your choices and behaviors, including consequences.

Our Thursday class continues to study the book of Proverbs and learn about the Wisdom we can gain from God’s Word! That group is growing, and we’re so thankful for all God is doing through LifeWise!

As a big “thank you” to Arcanum teachers and administrators for all they do, we were able to treat staff to delicious homemade cookies from Megan Woods!

✨ Obedience ✨

Today we continued our walk through the Bible and learned about Adam and Eve’s disobedience. Students had to “listen and follow through with instructions” as they were directed to draw a picture through a series of directions.

It proved difficult to do properly—just like obeying God’s directions for us is difficult when we aren’t living in relationship with Him and reading His Word!

✨ Gratitude & Respect ✨

We started our story of Creation learning that God created EVERYTHING! We began memorizing Revelation 4:11 and noted that the beginning of the Bible (Genesis) tells us how God created everything, and the end of the Bible (Revelation) tells us how it will be in Heaven with everyone worshipping at the throne of God.

“You are worthy, our Lord and God,
to receive glory and honor and power,
for you created all things,
and by your will they were created
and have their being.”

❤️💛 The rain didn’t stop us from having a wonderful first day of classes for 1st-6th grade!!

Hard to believe this is our 5th year of LifeWise-Arcanum, which means we are restarting our four-year curriculum. Students learned about the Bible and how it is true, trustworthy, and can still teach us today.

We are so thankful for each and every student! 💛❤️
