Good morning, friends of the Needy

Now that everyone is back to school, the Center could use a school supplies including backpacks for the children to carry their books to school and even lunchboxes. Remember, we are only open to accept donations from seven to noon weekdays. Thank you for thinking of the children of the needy.

Good afternoon, friends of the Needy

It’s been a good day. Lots of people are lined up and keeping Richard very busy passing out food and water. Jimmy and others are busy bringing in cases of water. Unfortunately, we have to buy this out of our funds. Anyone who could spare an extra case now and then it would be appreciated. Water is probably one of the most needed items for our people.

Open for donations every weekday 7 AM to noon

Thanks to our faithful volunteers and donors during the summer we do our best to maintain the shelves with generous food donations for families and individuals who need canned goods for their pantries and we serve hundreds of sandwiches and sweet treats daily for lunch.

Good morning, friends of the needy

Are you retired? Wondering what to do with your time? Wanting to do something useful and interesting?

The Center is in need of a volunteer or two to periodically drive clients to doctor appointments. Very few of our clients have transport and rely totally on the generosity of volunteers.

The Center also would like a volunteer or two who could run errands such as picking up donations or groceries.

Good morning, friends of the Needy

WATER… the most important thing we can take to keep healthy, especially in the hot weather. The Center gives out water all day long and sometimes cannot keep up with the demand.

Unfortunately, water is not something that people seem to donate and the Center must buy cases of water constantly.

If every person who reads the post where to purchase one case of water from Walmart or wherever they shop and bring it to the Center we would be most grateful. With an intense summer heat ahead of us water is the most needed item. Please help.
