The California Thoroughbred community lost one of its true pioneers with the passing of Fred Sahadi at the age of 91.

A respected owner, breeder, and industry leader, Sahadi's impact on California racing and breeding was profound. He built Cardiff Stud Farm, co-founded Barretts Equine Sales, and helped shape the California Thoroughbred industry for generations to come. His legacy will continue to be felt through the countless people, horses, and organizations he influenced throughout his remarkable life.

We extend our sincere condolences to the Sahadi family and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
