About Us
Since its inception in 1998, Michael’s Fine Art has maintained our art education
through personalized instruction in small groups, an effective way of teaching that has
built the foundation for student success. Unlike many franchised art schools elsewhere,
which typically adopt a simple, unified flow system, Michael’s Fine Art tailors its
education for each individual, focusing on visual
observation and creativity that
elevates students’ skill levels through exploration both wide and in-depth. For the youngest kids’ program (ages 4-7), we combine drawing courses with clay
arts, letting them directly construct and mold characters or objects they created on
paper. This provides fledgling artists with an environment to immerse themselves
with the freedom of mind to create and experiment. For older elementary school students (ages 8-12), we focus on fundamental skills
development and provide personal instruction according to each student’s interest and
skill level. Through class instruction on classical sketching, watercolor, oil painting
techniques, and so on, students will grasp various methods of visual observation,
enhance skills in creating artwork, and develop a sense for art appreciation and
evaluation. Middle and high school students who wish to develop their skills further or plan to
pursue college education in art-related majors can benefit from our portfolio
preparation program, which provides a most efficient and high quality mentorship to
help students complete an art portfolio per college requirements. We also offer
advanced foundation training to prepare students with the skill set needed for college
success. Through continuous innovation and exploration, Michael’s Fine Art endeavors to
serve our community with the highest quality art education.
