The DeSoto County Library, Jrpreneur Brunch and other youth serving organizations are teaming up for a day full of family fun, creativity, and community connection at the Fall Fusion Festival!

Families are invited to come out and discover the many local resources available for youth, enjoy exciting activities, and support young entrepreneurs sharing their talents.

Parents, Pay Attention!

If your child is on TikTok making skits, challenges, or videos, guess what? They’re not “just playing.” They’re acting, directing, editing, and creating content.

If they’re gaming on Fortnite, Minecraft, or Call of Duty, they’re strategically problem-solving. Add in mods? That’s coding.

When they take things apart and put them back together, they’re showing curiosity for engineering.

When they build clubhouses and living room forts, they’re practicing architecture.

This generation is developing mentally faster than any we’ve seen before. The question is: will we tap into that potential?

Week 1 of the Youth Entrepreneur Bootcamp is complete and it was a success!

I am truly thankful for the parents who enrolled their children and trusted this program to plant seeds of greatness in them. This first week, our young innovators put on their thinking caps, brainstormed creative business ideas, identified problems they could solve, and most importantly they dared to dream big and envision their future businesses.

Seeing their excitement, focus, and potential reminded me once again, this is what purpose looks like.

I can’t wait to see what they share next week, the journey has only just begun!
