We are proud to introduce a powerful new album release from Gilgamesh Arts & Culture Foundation, out now on our label, Gilgamesh Stream.

This album features deeply moving new music written by seven young composers from Iran. Created during a time of war, these artists have channeled their shared experiences, raw emotions, and resilience through the undeniable power of music.
Bringing these heavy, emotional compositions to life is the incredibly talented Mason Moy, who masterfully performs the pieces on tuba and bass trombone.

Listen now and experience the voices of a new generation of composers.

From the earth, life begins.
One of the most visually striking moments of the night was the creation of Enkidu, rising directly from the mud. It was a raw, powerful scene that captivated the audience. But what truly moved us was the reaction to his tragic end. Seeing the audience genuinely brought to tears over the death of a character born from clay proved the timeless power of this ancient brotherhood.
Did the bond between Gilgamesh and Enkidu move you?

We set out to create a musical language that felt simultaneously ancient and entirely new.
It was thrilling to see how deeply the music resonated. For everyday listeners, it was an emotional journey they instantly connected with. But for the musicians in the crowd, it was a puzzle, the modes, the scales, and the melodies defied standard expectations. It sounded like a lost world brought back to life.
Let the music speak to you. Have you ever heard anything quite like it? 🎼

Transporting you back to Mesopotamia wasn't just about what you saw and heard, it was about what you tasted.
Pairing the performance with ancient recipes and fresh pomegranate juice turned the night into a full sensory feast. The most amazing part? These 4,000-year-old dishes were a completely new discovery for everyone. Not just the American guests, but the Assyrian and Iranian attendees as well!
The recipes were unfamiliar and surprising, but absolutely delicious. It was incredible to watch the entire audience bond over exploring this shared, ancient menu.
What was your favorite part of the feast? 🍷🍇

You can script the music, but you can't script magic.
Performing in the lush gardens created a genuinely mystical atmosphere, but our favorite moment wasn't in the score. The peacocks roaming the grounds decided to join the cast. As the vocalists began to sing, the birds started calling back, creating a surreal, ancient soundscape that echoed through the trees.
Nature provided the ultimate backup vocals. 🦚🎶

We didn't want you to just watch a story; we wanted you to live inside it.
The most common feedback we heard from the audience was pure astonishment. There was no traditional stage separating you from the myth. Actors moved through the crowd, scenes unfolded right beside you, and without even realizing it, the audience became part of the epic.
If you were in the crowd, what was it like when the performance surrounded you?

Making history requires vision, dedication, and sometimes, a little bit of comedic timing.
Did you know this production marks the very first opera composed by an Assyrian? It’s a monumental milestone for our community and ancient heritage. And the best part? We officially premiered exactly one day before another highly anticipated production. Sometimes the stars just align perfectly! ✨
Were you there with us to witness history being made?

We are deeply moved by the generosity of our incredible vocalist, Eilbret Dooman.

Eilbret has donated her entire performance fee to support Gilgamesh Immersive Opera—a gift that speaks volumes about her love for art, culture, and community.

This is what the Gilgamesh Arts & Culture Foundation is made of: artists who believe in something bigger than themselves.

Thank you, Eilbret. From the bottom of our hearts.

Something magical happened in March. For two nights at the beautiful LA Arboretum, over our audience members didn’t just watch an opera, they lived inside one. They wore ancient Mesopotamian costumes, feasted on food inspired by 4,000-year-old recipes, walked through the Cedar Forest, crossed the Waters of Death, and danced alongside Gilgameš himself.
People cried. People laughed. People celebrated the king.

And now, April is here.
We have 3 more performances beginning April 10, 11 & 12. This is your final opportunity to experience The Legend of Gilgamesh!

👉 If you missed March — don’t miss April. Tickets are going fast.
