Please consider being a valued volunteer team member. Sandra Sue Benson Animal Adoption Center is up and running. Our cat rooms are full with many cats and kittens waiting for their furever homes. SPCA San Pat County has built and maintains an animal adoption center that is serving the needs of San Patrico County. It was created to provide the community a facility where people can adopt a homeless pet and where animals can be housed in a humane manner while awaiting a loving home. Our work as just begun with the opening of the animal adoption building named for Sandra Sue Benson, who was a loving and generous benefactor. Our original building is named in her honor. Thanks to Sandra Sue Benson we were able to purchase land to grow our mission for years to come. Our first director of the adoption center, Dona Farrar, was a strong proponent of “fixing” your pet before they reproduced. She was a driving force in educating the public as to this need as well as enforcing it in the plan to insure animals adopted from the SPCA San Pat County were spayed and neutered. We believe in working hard to educate the public about the need to spay or neuter their pets, and we require it of each adopter. All animals that are adopted need to be spayed or neutered by six weeks of age or before they leave our facility. This part of Texas has euthanized too many animals, and we believe it is far too common. Additionally, the number of animals that roam our county, homeless and hungry, often dumped, and in poor health surpasses by far other parts of the USA. We have honored Dona’s legacy by naming the second building the Dona Farrar Intake Facility. We hope you will consider donating to our agenda with volunteering, donating food, collars and leashes, or making a monetary contribution to our mission to improve the lives of animals who could be loving pets in San Patricio County. 🐾 Hi, friends! I'm Stymie, and I am looking for someone to follow home...and then follow everywhere!❤

I am just shy of 8 months old, with sweet manners and a whole lot of love to give. I walk well on a leash, know how to sit, and would make the best little shadow. Going for a walk? I'm ready! Relaxing at home? Save me a spot beside you. Being loved on is my favorite thing, especially when hugs and kisses are involved. 🥰

I am neutered and up to date on all vaccines too!

A kind local community member has already covered part of my adoption fee, so my adoption fee is now $75! Their kindness has brought me one step closer to my forever home. Could you be my next step? 🏡

Come meet me and see for yourself what a sweet boy I am. I deserve a loving home, and I have so much love to give in return. ❤

Showing off her Halloween spirit, this 5-month-old sweetheart is ready for her greatest treat: a forever family! Panda is playful, full of energy, incredibly soft, and deeply affectionate. She LOVES attention and would happily become the little sidekick who makes your everyday moments sweeter. 🐾

Panda is FIV-positive, but that doesn’t stop her from having a wonderful life. With nutritious food, routine veterinary care, and an indoor-only home, cats with FIV can live long, happy lives. FIV spreads primarily through deep bite wounds during fights—not ordinary sharing of food bowls, litter boxes, or cuddling.

✨ She’s spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped!
Thanks to a generous donor, her adoption fee is just $25, leaving a little extra room for the toys and treats this playful girl will love. ❤️

Panda has so much love to give—she just needs someone to share it with. Come meet her at the shelter and see if she’s the sidekick you’ve been missing!
