🚨👏 THE PORT OF CORPUS CHRISTI CAME IN CLUTCH TODAY!! 👏🚨

When we say it takes a village to pull off Shrimporee, THIS is exactly what we mean! ❤️🦐

With just three days to go before the 78th Annual Shrimporee, we’ve been working around the clock getting the festival grounds ready!

Today we reached out to our Chamber Board asking if anyone had connections to help us secure some hay. With the construction of our brand-new pavilion, several areas of exposed dirt needed ground cover to help keep the dust from blowing throughout the festival grounds.

Within FIVE MINUTES, the Port of Corpus Christi
CAME IN CLUTCH! 🙌🌾

Not only did they secure TWO HUGE bales of hay, but they even took care of the delivery! 🚛👏

BUT WAIT… THEY DIDN’T STOP THERE!

We were also in desperate need of volunteers for our admission gates during the busiest evening hours on Friday and Saturday. And guess who stepped up AGAIN?!

The Port of Corpus Christi! Their team helped us fill almost ALL of those much-needed volunteer positions! 🙌

🌾 Ground cover? CHECK!
🚛 Delivery? CHECK!
🙌 Volunteers? ALMOST ALL COVERED!

THIS is why regional relationships matter! Strong partnerships don’t stop at city limits, and we truly value the relationships we’ve built throughout our region. It’s about showing up for one another and working together to make our communities stronger.

A HUGE shoutout and heartfelt THANK YOU to the Port of Corpus Christi for stepping up in such a BIG way!

YOU CAME IN CLUTCH TODAY, AND WE APPRECIATE YOU MORE THAN YOU KNOW! ❤️🦐👏
