Holy Moly! The pantry is HALFWAY STOCKED already! These 3 wonderful beauties came and helped us stock the shelves and get some organization about this place!
If you have medical items such as Nutrition Shakes, unopened CPap accessories, adult incontinence items that our seniors can use, let us know!

We are thrilled to announce that the first load of food for the new Senior Pantry has arrived! Send us a message if you want to come volunteer to get all of this food on these shelves on Friday! We will be here Noon till 2pm to get these shelves stocked full!

This moment has been such a joy after countless hours of hard work, determination, and a whole lot of teamwork. From the blood, sweat, and tears (and yes, a few nervous breakdowns!) to overcoming numerous setbacks, we’ve finally reached this stage.....and we couldn’t be more excited to serve our local seniors!

A HUGE thank you to AMRV RC&D for their generous grant and for believing in our mission to provide essential resources for seniors 65+. Your support means the world to us, and we're so grateful for your confidence in our work! The infrastructure that Alabama Association of RC&D Councils has provided us will ensure that this pantry is able to serve those in need for many years to come!

A special shout-out to Farm Fresh Foods LLC who is donating several cases of fresh chicken breasts that we’ll be dividing up and including in our seniors' meal boxes! This donation is a game-changer, and we couldn’t be more thankful for their contribution to our seniors!

But we’re not stopping here! We need your help to keep the pantry fully stocked and continue making a difference in our community.

Here’s how YOU can help:
👉 Donate online through our website or on this post.
👉 Mail a check to PO Box 646 Arab Alabama (please put a note in there for it to go to our outreach initiatives)
👉 Drop off non-perishable food donations at the Caring Heart Legacy Community Center at 1204 N. Main Street in Arab Monday-Thursday 9am till 5pm!

Together, we can ensure that our seniors have access to the nutrition they deserve, and keep this pantry full so we can serve those in need! Thank you to everyone who has made this possible so far—let’s continue to stand together and build a stronger community.

Arab Foodland is hosting a big food drive for us and they will collect items. If your church or organization wants to buy food that way, they will call us to pick up items over the next month.

The Senior Food Pantry is funally ready for food donations! Both deep freezers and the cooler are also empty.

It has been a lot harder than we anticipated to get here to this point.... BUT HERE WE ARE!!!

If your business, organization, church, or small groups wants to collect food, we welcome it greatly. The quicker we can get these shelves full, the faster we can start serving our seniors! If you want to donate financially, we accept donations every day that the thrift store is open. It is located at 165 N Main Street in Downtown Arab. Our mailing address is PO Box 646 Arab AL 35016.

HUGE shoutout to Spartan Electric, LLC for getting our new Security Cameras set up! Protecting our visitors, volunteers, and staff is extremely important to us. We will always put safety first!

Also, Arab Electric Cooperative is getting our new Safety/Parking lights installed to light up our parking areas and the exits to make sure cars are easily visible to oncoming traffic.

We will be accepting applications for a 12 month contract on the lawn care for the new Community Center located at 1204 N. Main Street in Arab. We are looking for bi weekly cut and weedeat during the growing season and once monthly in the dormant season to keep it tidy and tree/shrub debris removed. Drop off bids at the Thrift Store, mail to PO Box 646 Arab AL 35016, or email them to [email protected] Deadline to receive application is April 30th.

Candidates MUST be licensed, bonded, and insured. Offers must include 3 referrals for commercial properties.

Holy Moly! Randy Grice put ALL of our shelves together for the Senior Pantry. Donna and Randy are amazing and always willing to lend a hand to help others. The Arab Civitans are lucky to have them and the Arab Masonic Lodge is fortunate to have Randy, too.

Things are FINALLY coming together! Once Pearce Electric comes and installs our lighted Exit signs and security cameras.... That will be the last of the big hurdles. From there, it is just finishing touches!

Thank you to EVERYONE who has donated time or resources to help make this community center an amazing place of HOPE for our communities.

The shelving for the Senior Pantry will be here Wednesday, so if anyone wants to come Thursday or Friday to help us get it assembled (I am NOT skilled at all)... Just send us a message.

We have our "punch list" of things that needed to be done to get the Legacy center up and running. WAYNE BARKLEY and his crew showed up today and showed out, too. Several weeks ago, they got the privacy fence up in a day, today--got our new front door installed, mailbox installed, and a few other things that needed to get done.

Not only is his crew fast, but the quality they have is amazing, they CLEAN UP as they go, and he will now be our first call when we need something done. Affordable and reliable in one package. Thank you Wayne to you and your crew. And, thank you Tim Howard with Sand Mountain Pest Management, LLC for this amazing contact! (Tim sent his crew to fix the foundational issue we had a couple months ago, who knew they did more than just Pest control, I sure didn't know that then....but I know that now!)

If you need ANY type of remodeling, fences built, new flooring installed (also check out Sanford & Sisters Liquidations to buy your remodeling materials like we did, thanks Sherri Parker Chapman) or any other remodeling jobs. He has a building license in the city of Arab, Albertville, Boaz, and Marshall County (maybe others but I know for sure those).

We are 5 steps closer this week because of their hard work!
