Not a day goes by that he isn't missed. His kindness, joy, and the way he brought people together continue to inspire everything we do.
The Live Like Leo Foundation exists because of him. Every scholarship awarded, every field improved, every opportunity created, and every life touched is a reflection of the love and light Leo shared with others. His legacy reminds us that one person can make a lasting difference, and we are honored to carry that forward every day.
Though we miss him deeply, we find comfort in seeing his spirit live on through our community. Thank you for continuing to support our mission and for helping us ensure that Leo's legacy of kindness, generosity, and compassion will never be forgotten.

Rally your friends, family, coworkers, or workout buddies! Form a team for the Run Like Leo and compete for team awards while supporting a meaningful cause. Every registration helps us continue our mission to fund student travel, tuition, and athletic programs, and we’re excited to see so many teams already getting involved. Current teams include Leo’s Lafayette Family, Leo’s Fam, Lowery Fam, and Team Splat. Whether you join one of these teams or create your own, now is the perfect time to sign up, invite others, and help us make an even bigger impact.

Join the Live Like Leo Foundation for our annual 8.17 or 17.8 Mile Virtual Challenge as we celebrate Leo’s 17th birthday on August 17th. From August 1–17, 2026, you can walk, jog, run, or move your way toward creating transformative opportunities for young people.
This year, our goal is to raise $25,000 so we can do even more in the year ahead. Upon your registry you'll be sent a free Live Like Leo t-shirt. Every mile, every donation, and every participant helps us continue Leo’s legacy.

This past weekend was a monumental one for the Live Like Leo Foundation. We are honored to officially announce the opening of the brand new batting cages for the Santa Cruz Girls Fastpitch Softball League! 🥎
Thanks to our amazing donors and supporters, LLL was able to fully fund this facility, providing these young athletes a dedicated space to grow, develop, and thrive.

It was an honor to celebrate this milestone during the league’s opening ceremonies. With the community’s families and players in attendance, the atmosphere was a 🌞 beautiful reminder of why we do what we do.
A huge thank you to:
• The Manu Koenig, Soquel Supervisor, who led the ribbon-cutting and the Softball League Board members who helped us officially “don” the new facility and cut the ribbon.
Our deepest thanks to who tirelessly led the city planning and ex*****on with to turn a dream into a reality. Every family who came out to cheer on these players!

At Live Like Leo, we will never stop looking for ways to invest in our future leaders. We are incredibly proud to officially add athletic programs to our funding repertoire, ensuring that the next generation has the tools they need to succeed both on and off the field.

As we wrap up this year, we’re filled with gratitude for what the Live Like Leo Foundation has been able to accomplish.

This year, because of you, we:

✈️ Funded life-changing travel and study-abroad experiences for students who may never have had the opportunity otherwise with our premier partner

🏅 Awarded 3 $1000 Leo Spirit Awards to inspiring young leaders investing in their education and future

🏃‍♀️ Hosted our most impactful Run Like Leo event yet surpassing prior years by raising over $30,000 in funds with more than 150 runners signed up, all in celebration of movement, resilience, and Leo’s enduring spirit

🥎 Issued a grant to the , helping break ground in 2026 on a new batting cage giving young softball players a long-overdue space to train, grow, and develop as confident athletes…more to come on that!

Through this partnership, we will be providing grants to Santa Cruz students toward college tuition, expanding our mission to support not only global exploration but long-term educational access and opportunity close to home.
