Thank you so much to Farmers Cooperative for raising over $1600 during their winter fundraiser for War Horses at Rose Bower. We could not do what we do for these retired warhorses without the support of our community!

I think fall is finally sneaking in. My geldings have been hiding in their run in sheds for the past few months and with temps about 50 degrees this morning my guys are enjoying the bugless weather. Cool nights will be a big help towards their comfort, too.
Is sweatshirt weather really here?😊

Wolfbane Productions has chosen our War Horses at Rose Bower to host Trivia Night on October 20. The show that night will be Macbeth and tickets are going fast. War Horses will be the beneficiary of part of the sales of drinks. Our 501c3 will be accepting donations for the retired racehorses which live at our farm in Appomattox!

If you’ve not had the chance to enjoy a Wolfbane production, why not purchase a ticket or two to experience this exciting experience PLUS help a worthy cause. Trivia starts at 6:30 with Macbeth starting at 7:30. Be ready for an evening of fun, and amazing talent of the Wolfbane with Shakespeare’s Macbeth as you’ve never seen it before.

Captain Nightcap settled in very quickly to his former home at War Horses at Rose Bower. His adopters who loved him and took great care of him, asked if they could send him back when their now 17yo son could no longer ride him due to a back injury.

Captain has certainly grown up during his time away. It is almost 9 years since we had seen him and we couldn’t be more thrilled about the care he had while in NJ with Andrew, for whom he was adopted and who was just a young boy when he and Captain became a teen.

Capptain is up for adoption again and is a wonderful w/t/c gelding, over 15.3h, 13 years old, and is happy to hop over small jumps, compete in local shows and take his new person for trail rides.

Please contact us by phone or text at 215-272-6716 if you think this beautiful boy could become your new partner!

Thank you board member Clarissa Moctezuma for hanging out with me all day to get all horses trimmed and then introducing Captain Nightcap to his new pasturemates.
We appreciate our blacksmith Rich Nunnally for his patience with Puxa S**o, our 21yo mare who really resented having a pad put on her front foot.
Beautiful Virginia day to get a lot done here at the farm.
