Congratulations to Post 104 Member Ron Krauklis for being the only inductee from the state of Virginia, Department of Virginia American Legion into ANAVICUS at the 107th American Legion National Convention in Louisville, KY.

The select few Legionnaires donning the colorful chapeau are members of ANAVICUS, – Army, Navy and Air Force Veterans in Canada, United States – an offshoot of ANAVIC, a Canadian veterans organization first authorized by Queen Victoria in 1840. It was Queen Victoria who granted permission for the members to wear berets of Royal purple. Today, more than 1,200 Legionnaires wear the ANAVICUS Royal purple beret or cap.

Ok Post 104 is raffling off a Henry Golden Boy 17 HMR. Chances are $5 for 1 ticket or $20 for 5 tickets. Right now Black Target Fi****ms has the tickets. You can buy them there and or if you can sell some tickets you can sign out a book or two to help the Post sell all the tickets. Drawing will be held on 11 Nov 2026 at the Posts Veterans Day ceremony.

American Legion Post 104, prays for the Families involved in the accident on 460 yesterday and we are praying for the Family of the Appomattox Deputy that responded to the accident but lost his life in the line of duty. We Thank Him for his service to the Appomattox Community for those that knew him personally he will be missed.

Big July monthly meeting of Post 104, first we had Gloria Krauklis the new Department of Virginia Sergeant at Arms swear in the new Post 104 Adjutant Danielle Ulmer. Then we had Past Post 104 Commander Bud Allen present Thank you gift cards to the volunteers that worked for 2 weeks everyday at the Fireworks tent where this year Post 104 beat last year's sales and brought in $4900.00. Then Post 104 Past Commander and Past Adjutant Sharon Hodge and Past 1st Vice Gloria Krauklis were all recognized for Post 104 exceeding 100% for last year's Membership. Last those from Post 104 that attend Departments Legions College were presented their certificates and Pins.

Great meeting thank you Post 104 Membership for all you do for the Post.

Another Big moment at the Department of Virginia American Legion Convention for Post 104. Congratulations to Gloria Krauklis for being voted in as the new Department Sergeant of Arms for the Department of Virginia for the 2026-2027 year.
