We are partnering with the Fox Valley Veterans Council, Inc. @ to pay tribute and bring awareness of the needs in our community by displaying artwork, photos and texts by local veterans, sharing their experience while sacrificing for our country. The Fox Valley Veterans Council is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that assists, connects, and honors military veterans, active-duty service members, dependents, and survivors in the Greater Fox Valley region. Representatives from the council will be present at the concert to share their recourses and talk about the important work that they are doing in our communities.
Following the concert, join us for a cake and punch reception to celebrate this incredible milestone in our nation's history and greet the composers, musicians, and Fox Valley Veterans Council representatives!

“WASHINGTON — The Department of Veterans Affairs today released the 2026 National Veteran Suic*de Prevention Annual Report, which analyzes Veteran suic*de from 2001 to 2024, the most recent year for which data is available.

The report shows there were 6,488 suic*des among Veterans in 2024, and the average number of Veteran suic*des per day was 17.7.

Other key findings from the report include:

⚫️ VA has expanded access to better reach and serve Veteran needs, and from 2001 to 2024, the percentage of Veterans enrolled with VHA rose from 19.5% to 50.1%.

⚫️ 62% of Veterans who died by suic*de in 2024 were not receiving VA healthcare in the year they died or the year prior.

⚫️ While suic*de rates for VHA enrollees fell 2.2% from 2001 to 2024, rates for unenrolled Veterans increased by 70.8%.

⚫️ From 2023 to 2024 — the most recent year for which data is available – Veteran suic*de rates fell 4.8% for VHA enrollees while rising 3.7% for unenrolled Veterans” (U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, https://news.va.gov/press-room/va-releases-annual-veteran-su***de-prevention-report-updated-with-2024-data/, 30 Sept. 2026).
