Appleton Boychoir

A non-profit music education organization providing musical training to thousands of boys, and sending them on their way with a life-long love of singing.

The goals of the Appleton Boychoir are:
Promote music literacy through education in theory and reading skills. Expand the visibility of the choirs through high caliber tours and collaborative concerts locally and internationally. Encourage family involvement and pride.

Boychoir camp has wrapped up. The boys loved the campfires 🔥, singing, 🎵🎼, cabin decorating, the great skit competition, and camp store treats. We crowned a new watusi champion 🕺 It was fantastic week!

The Boychoir boys are enjoying Camp Wonderland! They have been busy getting to know each other, decorating cabins, SINGING 🎵, eating, swimming, 😎 campfires 🔥 and more. We were thrilled to have some Junior and Senior Choir boys join us yesterday for the day. Lots of fun!🤩 Lots of memories to take home! The days are going too fast!! 🥰

Last day of the Great North Tour!! The boys packed up at the International Wolf Center and we headed for Nickelodeon Universe at the Mall of America. After a few hours of FUN we set out for Appleton. We finished off the trip with a rousing game of “What did you Buy?” (Like I said before- we left the economy better off in each place we visited 😊). A fabulous end to the season!! We will see the boys in August!!

Day 3 of the Great North Tour found us in Ely, MN. After breakfast the boys learned and practiced the super secret boychoir handshake, boychoir knock and motto. The weather was a little cold for canoeing and lake sports- SO - the boys headed for some pool time!! 🤿🌊
Then we went downtown for shopping and lunch …and more shopping 🛍️🤑. We left the Ely economy a little better than we found it 😊.
Off to the International Wolf Center we went 🐺. We watched the 4 adult wolves through the giant windows and were super lucky to see two new black pups! We learned A LOT about wolves!! The boys set up their sleeping bags in the viewing room. We had a pizza 🍕 dinner, played games, watched a documentary, and sang folk songs to Doc’s guitar 🎸 The wolves came up to the windows to listen to the boys. 🎶 It was a magical moment!! ✨ The boys ended the day with a “sleepover” with the wolves. 😴💤

Second Day of Tour down. Started out singing 🎵 at the Cathedral. Then a quick change, lunch, and we were off to the North American Bear Center 🐻 in Ely. The boys held snakes, watched bears, and stretched their hands up to have birds 🐦 land and eat. We got checked into the hotel, had a great dinner and then we were off to a sled dog demonstration at Chilly Dogs. 🐕 WHEW!! What a day! Now 😴💤 What a fun group of boys to travel with!!

Day 1 of the Great north Tour is in the books! Lots of bus travel time 🚌 - but we are riding in style in the FANCY Titans bus with our fabulous driver, Larry.
Boys did a workshop at University of Minnesota -Duluth with Chris Mason. 🎵 🎼 They learned great techniques to bring back with them. We headed to dinner at Grandma’s Saloon and Grill, and finished the day with campfire 🔥 songs on the hotel patio and a little swimming. Now to sleep 😴 … more tomorrow!

🎼 Auditions are coming up quick for our 2025-2026 Season! Parents must register their boys ahead of time here: appletonboychoir.com/audition

Appleton Boychoir is open to boys going into grades 3-7 in the Fox Cities area! Auditions are short and fun—just a quick 15 minutes where we play different musical games to get to know a boy and his voice. No preparation needed!

🎶 Our Spring Concert is this Saturday, April 26 at Lawrence Memorial Chapel—America in Song...the Hopes, Dreams, and Fears of a Young Nation

⭐️ America in Song follows a musical path from the Colonial Period and American Revolution through the music of the Sea of Immigration and through the Twentieth Century. Along with special guest Matthew Sabatella, our choirs will share ballads, railroad and cowboy songs, work songs, sea chanties, Appalachian, and musical stories we simply call folk songs.
