Hello MoH fans, we have some exciting developments coming very soon, but we have received several inquires regarding our recent post about our Executive Director's health issues.

We appreciate the interest and concern for Diane's health. The surgery to address the meningioma tumor on her brain was performed on December 5th. The medical team was successful in removing most of the tumor. A subsequent biopsy examination revealed that the remaining tumor is benign. 🎉

So, although ongoing monitoring and treatment is expected, we are confident that Diane will make a full recovery and resume her duties as soon as possible.

In the meantime, our stellar staff and members of our outstanding board of Directors have teamed up to fill in for Diane, and we expect no significant disruption in our programming efforts.

Thank you and more to come!

Hello Mission of Honor fans,
we’ve had some unexpected developments here at headquarters relative to our exceptional Executive Director, Diane MacDonald.

Diane went in on Monday for a planned hip replacement surgery to address severe pain that she has endured for years.

The surgery went well, and she returned home to begin recovery. The next day she developed a persistent debilitating headache and severe , unrelenting nausea. She was taken to the emergency room to deal with the presumed dehydration.

The ER physician, out of an abundance of caution, ordered a head CT scan which was followed up by an MRI. These test showed that Diane was suffering from a brain tumor called a meningioma tumor.

The tumor was removed during a 6 hour surgery, and the long road to recovery has begun.

We share this information for transparency purposes and to reassure the public that our programming efforts will continue uninterrupted as Diane recovers. Diane’s health is of critical importance to us but so is the mission of serving our veteran communities.
