What a way to end the season! Our first official tournament! Thank you, Hendrickson Foundation, for hosting such a wonderful tournament! The Yeti were lucky to snag a late spot when another team backed out.

Unfortunately, only four of our players were able to attend, but we got lucky because two amazing Colorado Avalanche Sled players were looking for a team. Liam and Jack traded in their Avalanche jerseys for Yeti (at least on the ice 😉) giving us a full team!

We played one game each day, full 15-minute periods on full ice with officials and goalies! What a way to make the jump from scrimmage tournaments to full games. They were awesome!!! Wyatt and Jackson took turns at goalie and crushed it! These kids all played their hearts out!! Every team they played was larger, both in numbers, age, and size, but the Yeti were aggressive and strong despite heading home with losses, not wins. Not a single game was a shutout, and there were proud smiles all around!

Thank you to our parents, players, coaches, and sponsors! We wouldn’t be here without you!
Thank you again to the Colorado Sled Hockey for bringing us Liam, Jack and Corey for taking amazing pictures!

Also, to keep this contest local, only nominations for organizations based in Wisconsin, Illinois, and Iowa will be accepted. For example, if you wish to nominate a national organization (e.g., The American Cancer Society), please make sure it is a local branch.

Good luck to all the amazing organizations!
