Derek Sanford - I've wanted to make a ring from Patrick Adair Supplies for years but haven't had access to a lathe. The project was easy and very satisfying; just a couple hours. I used dragon scale opal (not enough), copper powder, and cremains from my father and grandfather to make the inlay.

BLACKSMITHING!!
Hello Maker community. Appleton Makerspace is expanding with an entire unit focused on making sparks. We'll house welding equipment and install blacksmithing stations in our new unit very soon.
We even plan to build small, rented studios where members can store tools and work.

Please comment here or message directly if you have questions, but especially if you're ready to lend a hand so we can get up and running as quickly as possible.

Help Appleton Makerspace raise $2,000 for a table saw upgrade!

Our table saw is one of the most-used tools in the shop.
We're raising funds to help upgrade to a safer SawStop table saw with built-in technology that can stop the blade in milliseconds if it contacts skin.
This is a big step toward preventing serious injuries in our shared community workshop.
