The last day of the 2026 Convention kicks off with a Houdini Fun Run. Followed by a the All-Star Awards show. Then catch the John Shryock lecture. The second show is out Speak Easy Close-up show.. Then S.A.M. President Matthew Crabtree and incoming S.A.M. President Michael Heckenberger welcomes you to their reception before the Houdini Banquet. Finally the convention wraps up with the day's third show of Jonathan Neal!

The second day of the 2026 Convention kicks off with the Escape Experience! This will have something for everyone with a a world record chain escape attempt, a milk can and a straitjacket escape. Then there is an on your own visit to the Houdini Collection at the History Museum at the Castle. An interview with members of the Houdini family. The Houdini Collection and Arcade and more.

Finally the day wraps up with the Contest of Magic and a Houdini History talk with Mike Caveney and John Cox.

We heard you and we talked to the hotel. The last call for rooms is now June 20. Don't forget to lock in your rooms for the 2026 S.A.M. Convention in Appleton, WI.

Located in downtown Appleton, their airport shuttle will get you to Appleton International Airport, 15 minutes away. There are also over 65 bars and restaurants within walking distance of the convention.

The first full day of the 2026 Convention kicks off with anon your own visit to the Houdini Collection at the History Museum at the Castle. We will also see Assembly Leadership Training with Joel Zaritsky and Frank Monaco. The Houdini Collection and Arcade, a double header lecture with Christopher Hart and Shawn Farquhar. Later in the day will see the Harry and Bess Houdini Welcome Party with live music and magic.

Finally the day wraps up with The Her Show staring Lyn Dillies, Tiffany Sauvage, Alyx Hilshey, Julia Dryas, and Cydney Kaplan. and then a screening of The Grim Game featuring a live original music score.

While we can not control the cost of fuel or groceries, we can control our convention cost. This year, we have kept the cost of our conventions the same price from day one and will not have a last minute price increase. Time is running out to secure on of the remaining spots.

One of the great things about an S.A.M. convention is there is magic everywhere all the time. No matter what time of day you will find magicians around a table sharing magic, swapping ideas, and creating life long friends.

In just 44 days, we are heading to Appleton for the 2026 S.A.M.

Kicking things off on June 30, 7pm the night before the convention join us as we take a look at séances. Bruce Kalver and Dorothy Dietrich talk about traditional and theatrical séances.
