Today is Dino Day in downtown Appleton! All day long, we're bringing prehistoric times to life by building volcanoes in The Lab and making them erupt with exciting chemical reactions! Plus, we're digging for dinos in kinetic sand, making dino tracks, embarking on a dinosaur scavenger hunt, and more. Stop by today to join the dino fun!

Then, continue the dino adventure at the History Museum at the Castle, where you can explore real fossils with Paleontologist Amelia from 10am – 12pm and 1 – 3pm!

We've had an electrifying time exploring Power Up this week!

Power Up is our brand-new exhibit, sponsored by U.S. Venture, Inc. Throughout the space, families activate different energy stations, work together to fuel an Appleton city model, and watch as the city comes to life with lights, sounds, and movement. Have you stopped by to check it out yet?

Today, kids helped us make dough in preparation for Dino Day, sponsored by Festival Foods! Join us this Saturday, June 6 from 9am–4pm to transform that dough with dino tracks and fossil impressions. You can also dig for dinosaurs in kinetic sand, build erupting volcanoes in The Lab, and take on a dino scavenger hunt—there’s something for the whole family to enjoy!

Then, continue the dino fun at the History Museum at the Castle, where you can explore real fossils with Paleontologist Amelia. It's going to be a roar-some day in downtown Appleton!

Our summer hours start tomorrow! The BFK is now open every Monday from 9am - 4pm—giving you even more time to play. Tonight, we held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for our new energy-themed exhibit, Power Up, sponsored U.S. Venture, Inc! Following the ceremony, BFK members joined us for Member Preview Night to help celebrate and get a first look at the exhibit. Thank you to everyone who helped make it such a memorable evening!

Power Up officially opens to the public tomorrow (Saturday, May 30)! Join us to explore hands-on energy stations and help bring the city of Appleton to life. We'll see you soon!
