June is PTSD Awareness Month, and PTSD can affect veterans, servicemembers, and their families long after military service ends. The good news? No one has to face it alone.
That's why The American Legion's Be the One campaign encourages us all to check in, listen without judgment, and help connect those who may be struggling to the support they deserve.

You don't have to have all the answers. Sometimes, being the one who reaches out can make all the difference.

This is a cause we can all get behind.

Tonight while we sleep in comfort over 67,000 United States veterans will not share that same comfort. These are men and women who were willing to sacrifice everything for our country and it's citizens. Sons of the American Legion Squadron 75and other local veterans support groups will be raising funds for at-risk veterans by FREEZING FOR A REASON. Please support us as we dedicate the weekend of February 14th and 15th to homeless and at-risk veterans. We will have a spaghetti dinner Saturday, February 14th from 4:00 pm until 7:00pm. Later that evening many of us will retire to tents and cardboard boxes outside of American Legion Post 75 to draw awareness to the plight of homeless veterans. The following morning there will be a "all you can eat pancake" and sausage breakfast from 8:00am until noon. There will be bucket raffles and a 50/50 drawing as well. All proceeds will go to providing relief to homeless and at-risk veterans. Please come down and join us for a meal and visit those of us outside. Donations are gratefully accepted and the GO FUND ME link is below if you would like to donate on line. Thank you for helping us support local veterans and their families in need.
