Angels Among Us Foundation, Inc Every child deserves a place to belong. Our mission is to fulfill the critical need for accessible therapeutic services in our community.

Angels Among Us helps children with disabilities and their families in the Short Creek area access therapy, resources, support, and community—close to home. Our Mission Statement:

In our community, there's a significant deficiency in essential resources and therapies for children facing autism and other disabilities. The CDC reports that 1 in 36 children in the US is diagnosed with autism, with most recommended to receive 30-40 hours of ABA, Applied Behavioral Analysis. Presently there are no ABA facilities available locally, leaving parents facing significant challenges in accessing vital assistance for their children. At Angles Among us Foundation Inc, 501(c)(3), we're deeply committed to addressing this shortfall by leading the way in delivering vital resources and therapeutic interventions directly to those in need. Our dedication to comprehensive care extends to providing a wide array of therapeutic services, including Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA), Occupational Therapy, Nutritional Therapy, and more. Envisioned as a beacon of support, our goal is to build a facility that includes these services, offering specialized areas such as sensory rooms, an indoor trampoline area, serene quiet rooms, and an enclosed all-abilities park complete with a stimulating splash pad and an Equine Therapy Arena. This holistic approach ensures that each individual in our community receives tailored support. Through these initiatives, our aim is to alleviate the lack of resources and empower every person on their journey towards improved well-being and fulfillment.

Apparently, being rolled up in blankets isn’t enough for Decker. He also thinks everyone else should get the same treatment! 😂❤️

He LOVES being rolled up, but he loves smothering us in blankets just as much. And once the laughing starts, it’s contagious!

It’s these silly little moments, the laughter, the connection, and the pure joy of being together, that mean so much.

Just another reminder that play and connection don’t have to look a certain way. ❤️

Decker has always been a sensory seeker, especially when it comes to deep pressure. For some kids with autism, that snug, squeezing feeling can be calming and help them feel more regulated. For Decker, it’s something he absolutely loves! And when Verg turns it into a little comedy routine, we get to hear one of my absolute favorite sounds… his laugh! ❤️

Decker has a way of making himself comfortable in the most unexpected places. Just enjoying life his own way, with a little ice cream.

One of our biggest challenges with Decker has always been sleep. A 3–4 hour midnight rendezvous is a pretty normal occurrence at our house. 😂 It adds a whole extra layer of complication when traveling with him, especially when staying in someone else’s home!

Those sleepless nights can be rough, but looking at that darling little face somehow makes running on little to no sleep just a bit easier. ❤️ Good thing he’s so dang cute!

Decker’s idea of a perfect little snack break.

Found his favorite Ruffles in the pantry, carried them over to the counter, climbed up, and made himself right at home.

Just Decker doing what Decker does, and making me smile in the process. ❤️

This boy could swing for hours! 💙😂 Just one of those simple little things that brings Decker so much joy. And seeing him this happy makes my heart happy too. ❤️

He’s been a hopper long before the trampoline entered the chat. 💙

Some kids see a tree. Decker sees a challenge. 😂

If it can be climbed, squeezed through, balanced on, or somehow turned into an obstacle course, he’s in. Trees, windows, furniture… nothing is safe. 😂

I love watching him figure out exactly how far he can go—and the proud little look when he gets there. This kid was made to climb. ❤️

Sometimes showing up looks more like pulling in, saying hi, and leaving 20 minutes later. ❤️

We want to be there for the events, gatherings and people we care about, but a lot of the time this is the level of involvement we get. Decker can get overwhelmed pretty quickly, so one of us usually ends up back in the car with him while everyone else takes turns going in.

There’s definitely some isolation that comes with it, but we’ve learned to make it work.

And Decker usually makes the most of car time too. 😂 Climbing in and out of the window like it’s his own personal obstacle course.
