A child's mental health deserves attention before a crisis begins.

California is taking a stronger approach to youth behavioral health, with major investments focused on early intervention, school-based support, community services, and helping young people access care where they are.

The state's Children and Youth Behavioral Health Initiative has supported more than 1,600 organizations and reached more than 500,000 children, youth, and families through free mental-health services and digital tools.

For parents, caregivers, educators, and community members, the message is simple:

Don't wait for a crisis to start a conversation.

Sometimes early support, a trusted adult, or knowing where to turn can make a meaningful difference in a young person's life.

At The Way Resource Center, we believe stronger communities begin by supporting the people who will shape their future, especially our young people.

Early support can help build stronger futures 💜

Real support isn't always about giving someone an answer! 🌟💜

Sometimes, it's about helping them understand their options, find the right information, and feel confident taking the next step themselves.

At The Way Resource Center, our case management approach is designed to help individuals navigate challenges and work toward their own goals, whether that's completing an application, pursuing education or training, or accessing important services.

Because the goal isn't simply to solve today's problem.

It's to help build the confidence and knowledge to navigate tomorrow's challenges, too.

Support should empower people, not replace them 💜

You know you want something better. But do you know what comes next? 🤔

Sometimes the hardest part isn't having a goal, it's figuring out where to begin.

At The Way Resource Center, we believe that progress starts with understanding where you are, identifying where you want to go, and finding the right next step to get there.

Whether your next step involves education, career training, a new skill, or a new opportunity, you don't have to figure everything out at once.

You just have to find your next step. And sometimes, finding that step can change everything.

Your next step starts here! 💜

The Way Resource Center began with a simple mission: meet people where they were and help meet immediate needs.

From weekly hot meals and grocery distribution to blankets and clothing, those early efforts showed us something important — people need more than immediate assistance. They need access to resources, education, opportunity, and a path forward.

That realization helped shape the TWRC we are building today.

Our vision has grown from providing support in the moment to creating opportunities that can help individuals and families build stronger, more independent futures.

Because sometimes, the first step is meeting a need. The next step is helping someone discover what comes after it.

This is The Way Resource Center 💜

A recent case from California’s Civil Rights Department is a reminder that workplace rights go beyond wages and overtime.

On August 12, 2026, the Civil Rights Department announced a $230,000 settlement with the City of Simi Valley following allegations of sexual harassment and disability discrimination.

The settlement also requires training on California protections against:
• Workplace discrimination
• Sexual harassment
• Retaliation

Why does this matter?
Because a healthy workplace isn't just about getting paid correctly. Workers also deserve to be treated with dignity, fairness, and respect.

If something doesn't feel right at work, knowing your rights can be an important first step toward understanding your options.

At The Way Resource Center, we believe that knowledge, dignity, and access to resources help people take the next step toward a stronger future.

Know your rights. Know your worth.
