jMy favorite thing in the world is watching horses just be horses.
Playing, rough-housing, showing off for the girls that are paying no attention to them. Having fun and being at peace, even if a tiny mustang keeps biting at your ankles. Lol
The first two paints, Eclipse and Banshee, are both wild reservation horses. Who came to us extremely unhandled.
Banshee now loves pets and seeks them out. Eclipse will follow you around like your shadow, take treats, let you touch his nose, but is still nervous to be pet.
Then there's Eric, our little BLM Mustang bay roan who just LOVES to play. Nonstop. And wants constant attention and cuddles. He's a very in your pocket kind of horse, we love that.
And Igor, the grulla, who came from a very different upbringing. A loving home until it was lost in Hurricane Helene forcing the owner to do what she had to since she couldn't provide a home to him anymore. He went to auction. But we didn't let him slip into the Kill Buyer's hands like they tried. He's another in your pocket horse who wants all your attention.
Then there's Frosty. Who thinks if you're here, you're scratching my b***y. She'll back it up to even the most unsuspecting cameraman⦠we just love this sweet mule! "
All coexisting.
All flourishing.
All letting their individual personalities shine.
They're young, free and happy.
And that makes me happy.
