OK, sorry I haven't posted for some time,... BUT, as of our last opinion survey, which we (vendors) made at 6pm at the 1stFridayFest AppleValley, Sept 6th,..... WAS,.... we thought AV could be a good location, but 3 factors that we thot would bring customers did NOT, = the highway, the gas station customers, and the people of Apple Valley ?? And since most of our vendors came from Hildale and Colorado City, I asked you all if we should move 1stFridayFest to H/C ?? ! !

Since then I've been presenting the FFF plan to Leona Bateman, Margene Barlow, Lisa at the UEP, Vance Barlow at Colorado City, Dean John Cawley at Mohave Community College, and Jonathon L. Hammon, and then Christian Kesselring at Hildale City Manager., still trying to make appointment with Mayor Donia ! ?

So next Friday is the Oct 4th 1stFriday, vendors can go set up if they like.... BUT, a lot of you said it was disappointing. I will not be there as I broke my leg dirt biking.

Leona Bateman advised me to start a committee with all the people interested in developing this event, we have been holding that meeting every Monday at the Chevron, since June, for 3 months. BUT again, only 2 people from AV came to the meetings and it seemed like there is NO community wide interest to make it happen there?

So lets take a vendors survey-
!) who wants 1stFridayFest to be moved to Hildale/Colorado City
2) where can we hold our Monday 6pm committee meeting?
3) wheres a good location for FFFHC to grow ? !

well we had 2.5 times the amount of vendors that we had last month,... thank you, thank you, thank you, ! ! ! The word is getting out about this New 1stFridayFest, we all put a lot of effort into it and now we will see where it goes from here ?? ! ! ! God bless you all this month ! ! !

OK Buckaroos, are you all excited for 1stFridayFest ? ! tomorrow Sept 6th and 7th ! !. Here's the monsoon season situations,.. partly cloudy = nice,... but.... possible scattered thunderstorms, where ever they want to blow tents away ???
So we will be letting every vendor have 2 spaces, one for their booth and one for their vehicle, just in case we ALL have to grab all your stuff and throw it in the van/car/truck.
Every vendor is required to have steel stakes and ropes, and 40lb weights on all 4 legs of tent. Gusts of wind come in every direction, so secure it down beyond good enough, don't want your flying tent breaking another vendors expensive items, that you will have to pay for..... BE good, be safe, nail it down

We are ALL developing this new OPEN MARKET PLACE event, your once a month place to show or sell whatever you would like to design, create, build, invent, grow, rent, ride, play or promote ! ! ? etc ? !
We are calling all Vendors, small Businesses, Artists, Crafters, Food Trucks, Farmers, Handyman, Ranchers, Gardeners, High School groups, 4X groups, Mountain Biker groups, Hikers, Campers, OHV Adventurists, and “EVERYONE” who wants to set up a booth and $ell their wares and everything else you want to promote or move on to a happy new owner ?? ! !
We are starting the 1stFridayFest,AppleValley,UT,USA,.. on Sept 6th, then Oct 4, Nov 1st, possibly if not to cold for Christmas gifts, Dec 6th,….. then Mar. 6th, start in 2020. Event hours will be from 4 to 8pm Friday, Saturday optional 10am to 4pm. Set up time will be Friday 12 noon till 3:30pm, start at 4pm.
All spaces are 12X12 to fit your 10X10 canopy/tent, multiple spaces can be scheduled in advance. This parking lot is BIG, it can occupy 100 booths in the southeast gravel area next to the state hwy ! ! Steel stakes, and 40lb weights are required to anchor down all 4 sides of your booth pleasezzz ! ! !
To start this event, on Sept 6th, we will be offering all spaces open NO CHARGE, then the 1st Friday in Oct 4th, we will let the 1st 20 spaces be no charge and all others will be charged. This will help pay volunteers and develop more activities.
Every Monday 6pm we will be discussing potential activities that could possibly be developed for this event, and finding the people who will be interested in developing it.. ! ! ! Please come by any Monday 6pm at the Chevron station, and check out what we are beginning to establish for the next 5 year$, selling and promoting your creative ideas ! ! ??

As we are just developing this event, we want to invite every kind of TALENTED PEOPLE, so please all you Musicians,..... we haven't got a stage yet but if you set up your booth and play, ya might get some people to play and sing along with ya ?? ! ! !

Our Monday meeting was blessed with Margene and Marjorie as they came to find out about all the particulars of setting up their booths Sept 6th and 7th.
AAANNNDDD another blessing of a sampling of some of the candys and Jellies and Aprons they will be bringing for our neighbors to taste and buy ! ! !

So I went to Hurricane High School and Water Canyon HS to post a flyer for their leaders to invite the students to set up a booth.
Then I remembered way back in 1972 and I was in HS and me and all the surfers would hang out in the Art dept and make pottery. We got so good at it we started to sell our wares. …..

So as I was handing the flyer to the office clerk, I told her,... "this event, 1stFridayFest AppleValleyUtahUSA" is just the kind of event we used to participate in to sell our pottery creations. Please invite all your talented students and everyone who wants to TELL orSELLl something to come and set up their booth ! ! !

We've been out flyering Apple Valley, Hurricane, LaVerkin, Virgin, Rockville, Springdale, Hildaie, Colorado City, High Schools, Businesses, Groups, people everywhere,... so hopefully we will have a good showing for OUR 1stFriday event at the Chevron, Little Creek station, Sept 6th and 7th ! ! !
