Here we are with Haven. We just applied her eye medication for her ulcer and gave her plenty of Bermuda grass to munch on as much as she wants.

She’s doing better and continues to make progress. Last night she was up and roaming around the property, and this morning she was out and about again. She seems to have become quite the little night owl lately!

We’re grateful to see her feeling stronger and more comfortable each day. Thank you to everyone who continues to keep Haven in your thoughts and cheer her on during her recovery. ❤️ Although we have a tough situation we will continue to fight for Justice for Haven.

We are on day 12

🚨 JUSTICE FOR HAVEN 🚨

When Haven came to us, she already had an open Animal Control case. Despite the fact that we are not responsible for the neglect Haven suffered before she arrived, we have now been issued a violation. We are appealing this decision because we believe it is unfair and does not reflect the reality of Haven’s situation.

Right now, it feels like the system is pushing us toward euthanasia, but we are not giving up on her without a fight. There is still a small chance to save Haven, and we are doing everything we can to give her that chance.

To move forward, Haven urgently needs bloodwork and X-rays completed by Monday. The cost for these critical tests is approximately $1,000, and time is running out.

Late post … this donation is for Haven since Dr Clark put her on a new diet now she gets 10 lbs senior feed 2 times daily and 10 lbs Timothy pellets 2 times daily with free feeding of Bermuda.

❤️🐴 Haven’s Vet Update & Fundraiser Request 🐴❤️

Today Haven had a veterinary exam to help us better understand what’s going on with her health.

The exam revealed several serious concerns associated with her being a senior mare, including chronic laminitis/founder concerns, lameness, a heart murmur, poor body condition, and an ulcer with swelling in her left eye. Bloodwork and X-rays were recommended to help us get a clearer picture of her condition and determine the best path forward.

Right now, Haven has started a care plan that includes:

🐴 Soaked timothy or bermuda pellets
🐴 Low starch / low sugar senior feed
🐴 Free-choice grass hay
🐴 Pain management medication
🐴 Eye medications and supportive care

We are now trying to raise funds for Haven’s continuing veterinary care and diagnostics:

🚜 2 Ranch Calls – $100 each ($200 total)
🩺 X-rays – $300
🩸 Bloodwork – $400

🎯 Fundraiser Goal: $900

These diagnostics and veterinary visits are important to help us better understand Haven’s pain, hoof condition, and overall health so we can make informed decisions about her treatment and quality of life.

We are committed to giving Haven the comfort, dignity, and care she deserves, but we cannot do it alone. If you would like to support Haven’s journey, any donation—big or small—will go directly toward her veterinary care, diagnostics, medications, and feed.

Today we were blessed to receive donations of alfalfa, beet pulp, and treats for our animals. These donations mean so much to us and make a real difference in the care and comfort we can provide.
