💙✨ **MORE THAN A MEAL — A REMINDER THAT YOU MATTER** ✨💙

**OVER 60 INDIVIDUALS SERVED IN JUST 2½ WEEKS!** 🙌🏽

Today, I am sharing something that is extremely close to my heart.

Through Blessings by Grace – The Community Helpers, we have had the opportunity to provide food assistance to more than 60 individuals through community outreach, park distributions, and direct food deliveries to families experiencing food insecurity.

But this video represents so much more than numbers.

It represents PEOPLE.
It represents COMPASSION.
It represents DIGNITY.
It represents HUMANITY. ❤️

One community recipient shared that without the food assistance, she did not know how she would obtain something to eat.

Another shared how much it meant that I showed up to distribute food despite the rain. That simple act reminded this individual that they mattered.

Those moments changed something in me.

We must recognize that members of our unhoused community are just as important as anyone else. Their circumstances do not determine their worth, and their willingness to accept help should never be mistaken for weakness.

💙 Seeking Advice, Connections & Community Support

I’m reaching out because I could truly use some guidance, connections, and advice from people experienced in nonprofit work, food recovery, grocery distribution, restaurants, catering, or community outreach.

Through Blessings By Grace Community Helpers, we serve underserved individuals and families in two areas of Southern California: the High Desert and Los Angeles.

Right now, I am working to provide a Thanksgiving meal for 200 community members on November 14, 2026, but I have reached a standstill when it comes to securing enough food or funding for the meal.

I have contacted local grocery stores and businesses seeking in-kind donations. I am grateful for every contribution offered, including $25 gift cards, but unfortunately, those donations alone will not be enough to feed 200 people.

One of the most difficult things I have encountered in my region is seeing food approaching its sell-by or best-by date become unavailable for donation and sometimes discarded, while nonprofit organizations like ours are actively trying to get that same food into the hands of people who need it.

There has to be a way to bridge that gap.

We are not asking for perfect-looking products or expecting one company to provide everything. We are looking for opportunities to safely recover and use eligible food that might otherwise go to waste, as well as donations of turkeys, hams, chicken, produce, greens, yams, macaroni and cheese ingredients, beverages, desserts and other Thanksgiving staples.

I would especially appreciate connections to food distributors, wholesalers, grocery warehouses, restaurants, caterers, farms, churches, food-rescue organizations, corporate giving programs, or businesses that may be willing to sponsor part of the meal or establish an ongoing food-donation relationship with our nonprofit.

And this need goes beyond one Thanksgiving event. Blessings By Grace Community Helpers serves communities in both the High Desert and Los Angeles, and we want to build relationships that will allow us to continue helping underserved individuals and families throughout the year.

If you work in the food industry, manage a store or restaurant, know someone at a distribution center, have experience with food recovery, or simply know who I should be talking to, please point me in the right direction.

Even an introduction could be a blessing.

Our goal for November 14 is simple:

❤️ Feed 200 people.
❤️ Reduce unnecessary food waste whenever possible.
❤️ Make sure our neighbors know they are seen, loved and valued.

Blessings By Grace Community Helpers is preparing to do something special this Thanksgiving season, and we need our community to help us make it happen!

On Saturday, November 14, 2026, we’re coming together at Athens Park in Los Angeles with one major goal:

🍽️ FEED 200 COMMUNITY MEMBERS!

We want every person who comes to our table to know:

💙 You Are Seen.
❤️ You Are Loved.
💛 You Matter.

We’ll be serving a warm Thanksgiving meal filled with some of our favorites—turkey, ham, fried chicken, macaroni & cheese, collard greens, candied yams, dressing, cabbage, mashed potatoes, cornbread, desserts and more! 🦃🍗🥧

We also plan to distribute Dignity Bags filled with hygiene products, socks and essential items.

But feeding 200 people takes a village, and we are building that village NOW.

We’re looking for churches, local businesses, community partners, food donors, hygiene-product donors, financial sponsors and volunteers who want to stand beside us.

Maybe you can't feed 200 people—but you can help feed 10.
Maybe you can donate a turkey.
Maybe you can sponsor a pan of macaroni & cheese.
Maybe your church can collect hygiene products.
Maybe your business can donate supplies.
Maybe you can simply share this post and help us reach someone who can help.

On Saturday, November 14, 2026, we will come together at Athens Park in Los Angeles to provide a warm Thanksgiving-style meal to approximately 200 individuals and families in our community.

Our goal is simple:

💙 200 PLATES.
🙏🏽 200 OPPORTUNITIES TO SHOW SOMEONE THEY ARE CARED FOR.

And YOU can help us set the table!

Can't give $15? That's okay! $5, $10 or ANY amount gets us closer to our goal. We are also accepting food, beverages, paper products and other in-kind donations.

On behalf of Blessings By Grace Community Helpers, I want to express our deepest gratitude to every business, community partner, leader, volunteer, friend, and supporter who has helped make our 2026 Back-to-School Backpack Giveaway possible. 🎒📚✏️

Our first event is officially complete, and 40 children were served! 🥹💙 That is 40 children who walked away with support, encouragement, school supplies, and a reminder that their community believes in them.

None of this happens by one person alone. Every backpack donated, every gift card, every school supply, every food donation, every connection made, every phone call, every prayer, and every helping hand mattered.
