As the summer comes to an end, all of us in Wise County must prepare to part ways. Here is what we’ll be up to after we leave Appalachia:

- Claire will be heading back to Massachusetts where she will be searching for a new job.

- Chloe will heading back to Nashville, Tennessee to find a full time job with her Masters in Architecture.

- Maire will be headed back to school in Charlotte to continue her studies in elementary education.

We are all so grateful to have spent the summer in Wise County and will miss this place and these people a lot. Thank you to ASP for bringing us together in Wise Appalachia. Until next time!

After photos at Butch! This summer we completed necessary repairs the front porch, completed a drainage ditch, soffit/fascia, and interior work. This includes drywall, floor system repairs, floor coverings, and a bathroom remodel.

After photos at T-Bone! This summer we completed necessary repairs the front porch, back porch, and interior work, and dug a drainage ditch. This includes painting, drywall repair, floor coverings, and trim.

After photos at Luiz! This summer we completed necessary repairs to roof and inside the home to ensure that it is safe for the homeowner. A new tin roof was installed, an SBS roof, ceiling drywall in the dining room, and floor coverings in the kitchen, bedroom 1, and laundry room. In addition, new basement steps were added!
Through our continued partnership with JCIL and with the help of our volunteers, we were able to make repairs to this home. Post summer installed a new toilet!
Our staff and volunteers have loved getting to know this family throughout the year! We are thankful for JCIL that has allowed us to continue carrying out our mission to make homes warmer, safer, and drier. THANK YOU!

After photos at McBarker! This summer we completed the back porch, soffit/fascia, bathroom repairs for our homeowner and his kids! This includes mudding, sanding, and painting.

After photos at Bandit! This summer we completed a HUG system, kitchen remodel, and bathroom/laundry room repairs for our homeowner! This includes insulation, siding, shelving, countertops/cabinets, and finishing work.
