CONGRATULATIONS to BRAD VALDYKE for being selected as the Central Florida Council's 2023 Eagle Class Honoree. This years CFC Annual Recognition Banquet will be Friday May 10th at the Rosen Centre on I-Drive in Orlando. This is a Central Florida NESA sponsored event. We will be recognizing the 2023 Class of Eagle Scouts, the NESA Outstanding Eagle Scout Award recipients, The Silver Beaver honorees, the Council Alumni of the Year and the Commissioner of the year. Greetings All.
Our Central Florida NESA is seeking nominations for the 2022 NESA Outstanding Eagle Scout award. Do you know of an Eagle Scout who has made a significant contribution to there profession our community? All nominees need to be a resident within the 7 counties that make up our council. They do not need to be currently active as a member. Nomination forms are available online at www. NESA.org/Awards/NOESA. Completed forms should be emailed to [email protected] no later than April 1st 2022. A letter of recommendation should accompany the application to provide history of the nominees accomplishments.

We were a little late in getting this group shot of our Central Florida NESA annual Holiday Gathering. A few attending NESA bothers are missing. It was a great event on the porch at 4/Rivers BBQ. We had four lovely ladies join in our fellowship. Orange County Deputy Sheriff Jevon Long who saw our flag on display stopped in to let us know he was an Eagle Scout from our council.
The event highlight was finally presenting Gene Lent with his NOESA which had been delayed due to the pandemic. Gene had some inspiring words for us all. I left with my trunk filled with donations for the USMC Reserve Toys for Tots program.
