And just like that the 3rd annual North Dakota pot hole duck hunt is in the books. All heroes had a great time expanding and learning new duck hunting skills. More importantly they had the opportunity to connect with fellow Purple Heart veterans and continue the lifelong healing process. This event hit all the foundation goals in Honor, Connect and heal. Thank you to Pat, Sharon and CJ for all that you do.

Day 1 is in the books in Gregory, SD. We hit a 4 man limit on birds today. It was an absolutely beautiful day in the field and we look forward to doing it all again tomorrow.

Halfway thru the 3rd annual North Dakota pot hole duck hunt and the heroes are having a blast. The action has been off and on but more importantly the heroes are enjoying a great time with good food and great company.

Please join the entire Wounded Warriors in Action Foundation (WWIA) family in extending a HUGE CONGRATULATIONS to WWIA Guide, Event Host, and Board Member, Mr. Matthew Brannon, on winning his division and flight and earning the prestigious title of Veteran Golfers Association (VGA) National Champion! 🇺🇸 👏🏻

Matt's leadership, determination, resilience, and never-quit attitude are a testament to the character and heart of the man we've come to know and respect. We are honored, privileged, and blessed to have him as part of the WWIA family! 💜

But behind this incredible victory is an even greater story of perseverance, grit, and the unwavering support of those who believe in him.

Everyone loves a good comeback story… and this one is Matt’s. ❤️ 🇺🇸 ⛳️

After a tough first day at the VGA National Championship, Matt was discouraged… well.. he was mad at himself more than anything. His golf game wasn’t going the way he had hoped, and he was really hard on himself. And now with a hurt hand (his own fault 🙄—haha)

But he didn’t quit.

He showed up the next day, put the first round behind him, and fought his way back to become a VGA NATIONAL CHAMPION! 🏆

That’s what makes this victory so special. It’s not just about the trophy and all the other gifts given to him. It’s about the comeback. It’s about getting knocked down, choosing to get back up, and believing you still have something left to give.

And now, as the VGA National Champion, he (we 💁🏼‍♀️)gets to go to The Masters and be recognized for this incredible accomplishment. 🥹 💚 ⛳️

I couldn’t be prouder of you, Matt. Your story has always been one of perseverance, courage, and overcoming. This is just another chapter.

Heroes from NH, GA and KY have all arrived safely for the 3rd annual ND pothole duck hunt. Heroes had a chance to get lay of the land, and settle in a little. This is looking to be a great opportunity and we can’t thank our host enough.

It’s early, but heroes from Alabama, Washington, Ohio and Missouri are traveling to South Dakota for the inaugural Gregory, South Dakota Pheasant Hunt. 🇺🇸

Proud to be part of a weekend built around camaraderie, time outdoors, and making memories with those who have sacrificed so much. Looking forward to sharing some great moments from the field!
