Dot Day Volunteers Needed!

We’re looking for volunteers to help our art teachers organize and create a special display showcasing the dots our students make for Dot Day!

No art experience needed—just come ready to help and have fun!

Please note: Volunteers must be approved Hillsborough County Public Schools volunteers.

Friday night + ice cream + ABK8 parents = a pretty great way to kick off the school year. 🍦

Thank you to everyone who came out to our Parent Mix & Mingle! It was so nice to see parents connecting, meeting new people, and getting to know some of the local businesses that support our school.

A special thank you to American Honey Creamery Apollo Beach for hosting us. We also appreciate Apollo Beach Gymnastics Academy, Burn Boot Camp - Apollo Beach, FL, Embracing Life Wellness Center, Grease Monkey Ruskin, Planet Smoothie, Mathnasium of Riverview, and Optical Outfitters for coming out and supporting ABK8.

Our parent survey showed us that families wanted more opportunities to connect and build community, so we’re excited to make more of that happen this year.

And if you’re wondering how to get involved with PTSA, there are plenty of ways — from volunteering at an event to becoming a member or simply sharing an idea. You don’t have to commit your entire life to us. We promise. 😉

Thanks again to everyone who made Friday night a great one. We’re looking forward to a great year at ABK8! 🐬

Tonight’s the night! 💙

Join us for our ABK8 Parents Mix & Mingle from 6:00–8:00 PM at American Honey Creamery! We’d love to see you there and spend some time getting to know more of our amazing ABK8 parents.

One of the things we heard from parents in last year’s survey was a desire to build a stronger sense of community within our school. We took that feedback to heart, and events like our Parents Mix & Mingle are one of the ways we’re hoping to create more opportunities for parents to connect, meet new people, share ideas, and build those relationships.

And don’t feel like you have to stay the whole time! This is a come-and-go event, so stop by whenever you can, stay for a little while, grab a treat, and enjoy some time with other ABK8 parents. Whether you can stay for the full two hours or just pop in for a bit, we’d love to see you!

🐬 A VERY important reminder: Please make every effort to have your student at school and in attendance on their scheduled testing day. Being present helps ensure they have the opportunity to test with their classmates and complete their assessment as planned.
