Rakeem Covington is a native of Laurinburg, North Carolina, a small town located southeast of Durham. He is a first-generation graduate of North Carolina Central University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications.
Rakeem currently works as a fitness trainer and believes that health is true wealth. His goal is to inspire others to get active while bringing awareness to what health looks like — not only physically, but mentally as well. Outside of fitness, he enjoys nature walks, fishing, spending time outdoors, listening to good music, traveling, and connecting with positive people.
Rakeem is proud to partner with this family because of the professionalism, genuineness, and warmth he felt from the very first interaction. To him, it feels like family. Most importantly, he appreciates that this luxury event supports scholarship and community outreach.
As a first-generation graduate, Rakeem understands the challenges and obstacles that must be overcome to succeed. He is honored to give back in any way possible through an event that shows how communities can not only break cycles, but also change legacies.
